Startlogic Review

Host Website: http://www.startlogic.com

Startlogic believe that the key to the best business relationships is by understanding the needs of the customers there priorities and there expectations when looking for a web hosting solution. They also believe that providing the customer with a prompt dependable and reliable service will make for a satisfied customer. They promise to provide innovative products combining state of the art technologies that meet the ever changing needs of the customer.

Hosting Plans

Web hosting starts from $5.95/mo with the Prologic package, $9.95/mo for the windows logic, $29.95/mo for the virtual server package and $99.00/mo for there dedicated server package. All hosting plans feature a generous amount of space and are supported by there rock solid tier 1 network. All Startlogic packages contain the standard features you would expect in a web hosting package

StartLogic windows logic is the one we’re concentrating on for $9.95/mo. With this package come 100 GB of disk space, 1000 GB transfer, unlimited E-mail accounts with POP3 and web based mail featuring forwarding and auto responders. A standard control panel through which you can access all your account details, adding mail accounts e.t.c.

Support features include Active server pages, .NET support, Access database with ODBC support, CGI-BIN, PHP support, MySQL and Frontpage 2000/2002/2003 support. Shopping carts are also included within the plan as is Real Audio and video support, streaming audio, Macromedia shockwave and midi file support.

Startlogic ProLogic Plan is $5.95/mo and includes Unlimited disk space and Unlimited bandwidth. It includes unlimited E-Mail accounts and a free domain. This plan provides an excellant value for money and moreover there is no set up fee for limited time.

There is a file manager and FTP manager for managing all aspects of your account and a complete backup system to protect your site. At the time of writing this article Startlogic have a promotion giving you $50 credit towards advertising usage.

Support

Support is available 24/7/365 with a live technical support service available, they have an excellent support page on there website which includes community forums, where customers help customers. There is a trouble shooter guide, which allows you to go through a series of specific questions in the hope of finding an answer. An extensive knowledge base of different categories through which you can browse or enter search words directly. Users also have the opportunity to submit a question via a ticket system which operates on a priority basis and which can be followed up by checking the ticket status. Startlogic have included a download library in the support section for manuals, programs and other files but when I checked it there were no downloads available. They also post any announcements on the support page or you can get these sent to you directly through e-mail as newsletters. Several tutorials are posted on the site in the form of easy to use step by step guides.

Conclusion

Startlogic don’t seem to offer you anything special in the way of ease of use with control panels as do some of the web hosting packages I have looked at, they do however have an excellent support system with clear easy ways of finding a solution to your problems and at the time of writing this review setup is free for a limited time.
